A very US centric shallow short term assessment of events. Forgotten is Eastwards NATO expansion towards Russia, CIA engineered coup overthrow of government in UkraIne, support and arming of Ukraine attacks on Russian Speaking, orthodox Christian majority in Eastern Ukraine, and US ambitions to break up Russia, a plot seen as running for decades by Russians.. You know next to nothing, except a very polerised view generated by western media. I could go on, but their is little use in ear-bashing the willfully ignorant. The end result has been deaths of near million Ukrainian soldiers as US NATO proxies to weaken Russian, backfired sanctions. The latest self-wreckage of USA is probably the only silver lining for the rest of the world. About time too.
