Definitely all sides must agree their is no real freedom. We are creatures of the underlying physics, chemistry, biochemistry, biology, evolution and metabolic, neurologic, and mimetic social programs we serve, of which religion is an abstract narrative refinement. Being creatures existing as part of all this (grossly lumped together as "creation") our so called consciousness of trained expectation sensory awareness is a cellular neuronal network, energy consuming feature of universal becoming in time. We can give it all the dry name of "computation", but the universal past and future only exists in the present conservation laws of everything, ourselves a miniscule part, in a global ecological planetary system, that is always moving to the next state, while leaving the last state as present memory. Our gods are narrative devices of changing existence, and any rules about the process of change appear to us as properties mathematical, geometric descriptions and our personal narratives of seeking relationship explanations and a tribal identity. Our belief needs in whatever understandings we codify are neurologically generated as required by evolution.
