Economics is not eco-nomics. It has no concern at all for the ecosystems of this planet. It’s only goal is exponential growth , the proceeds of which go mostly to the shrinking proportion of people who are already too wealthy and too powerful, who employ economists and tax accountants. Economists are rebadged tax accountants for the rich. They are modern day priests of growth superstition. The never ending growth paradigm for money is hidden inside every article as unquestionable faith, and behind it is every persons right to unbridled reproduction and betterment. Our finite planet is saying a big NO.

Meanwhile our global life systems critical parameters including atmosphere and ocean chemistry continue to crash. Global warming has momentum and positive feedbacks. Military budgets for weapons and territorial aggression obsess governments and the rich and powerful who run them.
