The machines that are part of our overall fossil fuel powered demise have certainly evolved a long way from our earliest grave goods of prize collectables and laborious handicraft items. But due to their current inability to reproduce and evolve without our cultural investment, and our extant presence, they are also as doomed as we are, sentient or not. They are still magnified extensions of mono-manic and insane segments of our minds, for profit, which accounts for their often fatal consequences.
