I am living in the south west part of Sydney. There is a free Covid testing drive-in close by. "Essential workers" have to show a negative test every 3 days. I can imagine these mismatched pairs of police and ADF, driving around to knock on various doors, where the language spoken inside is maybe Cantonese, or Arabic, or other, with limited english, or the people are older, or deaf, and there are a number of family living in the same house. At least the ADF person is not going to be armed. Hopefully the knocking pairs will learn some new language skills and some new social graces. Since they are in fact going from location of potential infection to potential infection, I hope they are all masked up, as they are breaking the principle reason of having lockdown, which is to limit mixing between households for short range aerosol transmission. Too bad the government seems to offer only a limited number of free vaccination mobile setups which are confined to wealthier areas. There are plenty of clinics to go to for the AZ vaccine. I will have my second dose soon. The Kings Private School, fabulously exclusive for kids of wealthy families, organized to vaccinate every kid, even when they were not age eligible. I is maybe harder to get out to be vaccinated under lock down, with limited mobility.
