In the case of long lived industrial chemicals, it would be far better, that the products and processes they are the result of, be never created and used. If an industrial byproduct cannot be rendered back to a harmless recycled part of our environment, then we are better off in the long term by never creating it. Anything long lived and harmful cannot remain concentrated in one place forever, it eventually spreads sickness upon the whole world. This explains the USA military empire.
