Nice theory, quasi Freudian meaning of door behaviour in Russia I didn’t know. Russian winters used to be very cold , so entering inside quickly is important. Fewer doors mean less holes for heat to escape. Also more frequent use of, and wear of those that do exist. It is presumed reluctance occurs going outside in very cold weather. Lack of strong civil society is consequence of a failing but strong state. Mafia and corruption seen to может быт strongly present at all levels of government. No wonder Putin does an annual call in complaints session.
