No national wealth institution exists, that is not tainted by fossil fuel interests.
Fossil fuels are political power and wealth, having grown with national states dependent on them for nearly 3 centuries of exponential growth.
It should be no surprise they are as deeply embedded in wealthy nations governments as much as they are in our way of life. Australia is an especially riddled case.
Still I was unable to not be “emotional”, as the Australian think tank, as the “Centre for Independent Studies” always love to say, about what they call Climate Alarmism, as if the democratic majority consists of truely cold-blooded lizard people.
The CIS are for me an Australian variety of species called “Thought Weevils”. This is my new term for climate denial think tanks. They are anti-intellectual spittle makers. Their sordid output over decades, worthy of Cockroach leavings, hasn’t stopped the Board of the Reserve Bank of Australia from from handing over $20,000 a year of fresh money print, to the CIS, no questions asked, no conditions made, for the last 14 years, since 2006.
A Getup campaign page link sent by email brought this to my attention, and has aroused me out of my sense of having giving up on our totally god-forsaken species. It referred to this now 2 week old news article.
The RBA website even has a page for the public to notify them of scams. Now I fully suspect the RBA board are just another part of the giant money mining, part of the foreign fossil fuel mining interests clique behind the government machinations that run Australia. I am sure the board don’t see themselves as scam enablers, its more about them just looking after money.
