Only some of remaining oil is heavy enough to contain the fractions of carbon molecules that can be extracted as diesel fuel. Lighter fracked oils from the USA don't have enough. Diesel fraction of oil is the hemoglobin of the industrial world. Supply and price of this determines availability and cost of everything, including more oil.
