Our biosphere, global climate, and energy supplies are in a death process of slow man-made collapse. Also known as ecological overshoot, which I did not see mentioned anywhere. Having been to Russia , and speak their language a little, I can say there people and systems are close enough to ours, with local and cultural adaptions. What goes down for us, will go down for them. It is a general process. Ditto our western fossil fuel consumption depending nations. No exemptions. This explains western hostility to, and predictions of collapse of Russia and China, as rivals in the great consumption global guzzle-fest of the last of oil and depleting mined minerals, and the global food starvation to surely follow. As Russia goes, most definitely go the rest of us, even if a carve up of Russian resources will feed the hungry starving Western Asia and USA just a little longer.
