Our human populations face a future of 5-6 times repeated halving, leaving future choices that lie somewhere in-between very high mortality and much reduced fertility.

More could be added about rapid ongoing losses to biosphere life support carry capacity from our long lasting impacts - global heating, ocean acidification, biodiversity loss, soils, and our buildup of long-lived chemicals pollution. We are leaking planetary boundaries like a dying cell.

The biophysical catastrophe just keeps on growing. Every-bad, everywhere is happening all the time. The Desert is coming to everyone.
