Still have yet to solve the problem of a sustainable, habitable , enclosed bio-system, here on the ground on earth, both at the domestic sized, micro-scale, and also of our declining global world biosphere scale.
The solution of leaving at least half of the natural world to restore itself, as proposed in detail by Edward O. Wilson, is possibly the only thing that might work for us. Because we are totally incapable of managing ecosystems when armed with ecosystem smashers powered by unnaturally scaled energy.
