Our modern techno industrial civilization saturated nature's rates of absorbing GHG sometime before the 1950s so all growth since then , especially the "great acceleration", has been a reckless race to extinction. Not to mention our degradation of soils and all the other short term non-renewable resources, and breaking most key planetary boundaries.
