The emergent properties of human political coalitions relate to power , persuasion, and ability to deliver. Some people are better at the power game in the sense of having a winning political strategy, or access to crucial system assets. So much luck. System complexities and feedbacks are far more powerful and ultimate, than human illusions of self autonomy. Short term successes can always make assholes of our entire species.
