Writing style as fresh and rangy as ever. However I know of no strong examples of any nation states actually putting their own former leader to a fair trial for some sort of power abuse or crimes against their own peoples human rights. Too often the wealth – industrial power cliques complicit in all behaviours are still operating behind the badly painted scenic drapery. A real coup tends to go for a fast physical execution, or accepts the miscreant has fled the country with previously amassed loot.
I conclude there are many strong patterns of top-down abuse, which recur, which are general habitual features of human societies and nation states everywhere, magnified by every possible scale of inequality, from the microcosm of family to the role of government. This makes it even easier to commit atrocities of exploitation and war on every declared outsider.
Given the scale of abuse of the outgoing “Administration”, I presume that most of the chosen victims are unlikely to have access to and mount challenges through the USA “pay your own way” legal systems. Abusers pick their targets with exquisite conscious care. There is another abuser in training born every minute. So many people owning personal weapons in the USA, so many minds entirely unfree.
